Modern Education and Money

In education as in medical care, there is so much government money it has become a "neon welcome sign" for every fraudster, pitchman, politician, ed-author, and peddler looking for a quick buck or more influence. They offer easy cures, cheap fixes, and sure-fire programs. While data should prove points and move arguments, it is more often misused, fudged, disguised, forgotten, or ignored. So, forget data! The pissing contest in education is all about liquefied data. Experts tell us, "Charter schools, yes! Public schools, yes! Counselling services, yes! More equipment, yes! Higher salaries, yes! Stronger unions, yes! Smaller classes, yes! More testing, yes! Less testing, yes! Group learning, yes/no!” To be honest, there are too many tricksters, some massaging data, some taking fees, some writing books, some supporting political parties, and others gathering votes. The whole pot is something of an expensive, mostly tasteless, non nutritious stew - served to

Creative Gobbledygook - Innovative Boloney

Let us not confuse “that which is different” with the loftier concepts of “that which is innovative or creative.” Many are mere expressions of intellectual fraud, as though there isn’t enough fraud going around. Innovation studies – Nowadays there are full university programs offering degrees in innovation. As honey to flies, grants are available is why. Websites are available for all innovators, to infect those without ability with a perception they have it. Innovation studies programs are even available to youngsters aged 10-18.  Mostly, they just train folks about new stuff, though leaving them unable to contribute to it. For example, business innovation is little more than awareness of needs for better products and marketing. In brief, these programs mostly only teach “new” or “different.”  The world so craves new ideas that it invests huge sums to produce what will soon be called innovative nonsense. Futurists are their philosophers. Creative writing – Change the order of

Letters to the President - I

Dear Mr. President, Today I’m writing about health-care fraud.  Fraud is a fact of every ultra-large government program.  Careful observers of such programs or systems note that expertise develops on which requests will be approved and which do not.  It is a simple conclusion for applicants to tailor requests to fit the parameters of acceptance.  Fraud in Medicare and related programs is acknowledged to be rampant, costing taxpayers multiple billions each year. This requires increased budgets and decreased honest benefit approvals. The acknowledged capitols of such fraud are Miami and NYC, particularly for medical equipment.  In fact, I’ve read that organized crime is involved, with their view that such activities (fraud) are far safer than traditional venues.  The fraud here is that the equipment is never delivered.  Even doctors are involved. I recommend you declare a “War Against Fraud,” wherein you franchise an undersecretary to Tom Price, Secretary of Health and Human

Fraud, Sickness, and Trump

A.     Fraud :   Beware, my friend, of anyone or any party that proposes to pay for any government program by eliminating fraud.   The fundamental problem with this claim is simply that the amount of fraud, how it is done, and to what fiscal extent are largely unknown – admittedly so by the feds.   Only special cases are understood.   Specifically, all flavors of federal medical care should be singled out.   Some estimate it amounts to $60,000,000,000/year.   Fraud is amazingly difficult uncover, to prosecute, and then to prove.   Even organized crime has recognized it as an income source far less dangerous or risky than traditional venues. Miami, for example, is considered the Medicare fraud center of America, with New York a close second. Fraud in the defense industry, largely through cost overruns, has been rampant for decades, but what has been done?   Give just one example? B.     Sickness to continue: ·        Democrats: Repealing Obamacare will "make America sick

Machine Voter Fraud

I am not claiming machine voting fraud exists.  I am only making a case for how easy it is.  Let's do it by the numbers. 1. Remember Volkswagen' scam of programming their devices to show incorrect and legal emissions when in testing mode, but otherwise allowed (honest) higher gas consumption.  VW was caught only by accident - you will recall. This was deep and secretive programming. 2. Is it possible that voting machines have a similar type of deep programming, but in reverse.  They work perfectly in test mode; they bias votes under field conditions.  There are a couple of easy alternative methods to mask the difference between test and actual modes, particularly if there is no test mode. 3. It is painfully easy, if you control the machines and software development. Moreover, it is nearly impossible to detect.  Calibration has nothing to do with this. The election commissions could re-image the machines after every vote. But the scam is retained.  It is sort
