Social Media

Social Media Standards We see more and more inciteful postings appearing on various social media sites.  These include of course recruitment to terrorism – the big one.  Social media sites state they are continually trying to reduce such postings, but they are completely on their own recognizance on how to do it and what to do.  Thus, little is achieved.  They don’t know what to do and simply do not wish to spend the resources to do anything. What is currently missing is a set of standards for what should not be posted.  Such standards for what cannot be transmitted on broadcast television do exist, and while they are mild they have worked for decades.  Ask anyone, I do not favor more regulations, but it is time the government should create an independent agency to first study this problem and then develop standards and guidelines.  Representatives of the the industry, elected officials, and media experts should be involved. Time Travel, truth, and Tweets

To Donald: A sweet tweet is worth more than a thousand trivial tweets. Advocates of “cookoo” theories often chime the loudest and are always on time. ______________ That Pesky Time . On the time travel paradox.   One of the most frequently applied scenarios against the possibility of time travel is the “grandfather” paradox.   Here it is. Right now, you travel back in time with a pistol to see your grandfather walking in a park long before he has even met your grandmother.   You shoot and kill him. Therefore, grandpa never meets grandma, and thus you cannot exist to travel back in time. ( This where the time travel paradox usually ends. But it goes on… )   Now then, since you don’t exist you couldn’t have traveled back in time to kill grandpa. Thus grandpa does meet grandma, and eventually you are born.   But now you can travel back to make the kill.    This repeats ad infinitum. What seems to be created is a time-conflict. Kill, no kill, kill, no kill, …   Doesn’t

Note a Tweet is 140 characters, max.   Here’s a brief list. Spaces are not counted.
