Thoughts XXIX- post election

Religious fervor has less to do with religion than it has as a state of mind. It is single minded, righteous, and self-justified. It is the guiding light of every form of extremism. It promotes a single agenda, often in the form of “against them.”

The further to the left the left goes, the longer the Republicans will stay in power. For the left… More promises will not help. More globalization will not help. More open borders will not help. More food stamps will not help. More student disruptions will not help. More political correctness will not help. The moral of this story is, “Go left and lose; go far left and lose big.”

If Bernie Sanders, a decent person, re-emerges at least control to the Dem agenda, the Reps win for sure.

Every Hollywood celebrity vowing to leave the country if the Rep wins gives the Reps an extra 10,000+ votes. Is anyone on the left swayed by departure promises from such folks? Doubtful. Probably, most are trying to boost themselves. Anyway, many are to energize their fading or faded careers.

Overall, if both parties act in reasonable competition, both have a chance to regain or sustain their positions. Something must be seen as accomplished.

If you’ve read earlier columns, you know about the ultimate extortion. Without Obama, without Clinton, this remains on the radar. It is dangerous. It is a form of terrorism of the individual.
